Dewey "Orv" Broberg, founder Du-Bro Products, Inc., passed away on Jan. 12 after a short illness. He was 80.
The company announcement said, "Dewey may be most remembered for being one of the founders of the Radio Control Hobby Trade Association (RCHTA) and the annual trade show they put on. As the founder of Du-Bro Products, Dewey was instrumental in designing and developing thousands of products that most modelers still use today. Dewey was truly an inventive genius and will be greatly missed by family and friends."
Broberg had been retired since 1997, when he sold the business to its current owners, children Jim Broberg, Kathy (Broberg) Weiland and Gayle (Broberg) Lundgren.
