Hornby on the rise and on the move

Sales this year are tracking along nicely for British model railway manufacturer Hornby, which announced year-to-date sales rising 6 percent following a merry Christmas season during which sales were up 7 percent.
The good news was a turn for the better after recent supply-chain troubles had prompted a series of profit warnings.
Hornby chief executive Richard Ames says, "We are encouraged by the interest we received at the recent international toy fairs. Our supply chain is delivering an improved performance."
Heading the bill for Hornby is Corgi’s die-cast James Bond Aston Martin DB5 in a limited-edition gold finish — complete with firearms, rear-window shield and passenger ejection seat — celebrating the 50th anniversary of its initial release in conjunction with the 007 movie classic "Goldfinger."
Sharing a top spot on Hornby's 2015 marquee is a deluxe DCC four-car Virgin Pendolino model train set.
Hornby also announced it is moving from its Margate office in Kent, which it called "an outdated factory location," to a site seven miles away that was vacated by U.S. drug maker Pfizer in 2011.
