Cryptozoic broadens alliance with PSI
Published:
May 29, 2015 Augmenting its relationship with Publisher Services, Inc., Cryptozoic announced PSI will be handling new and international accounts in addition to the existing specific sales of Cryptozoic products into non-hobby accounts. A Cryptozoic spokesman predicted “additional sales opportunities into mid-tier, mass, big box and other specialty retailers” based on PSI’s ability to service accounts that require Electronic Data Exchange (EDI) and Advance Shipping Notices (ADN).
The shift is the latest change in distribution channels by Cryptozoic, which recently ended an exclusive arrangement with Diamond/Alliance for games and discontinued direct-to-consumer sales of trading cards on its website.
In its press release, Cryptozoic says, “The sales plan with PSI opens up new channels for distribution, delivers enhanced supply-chain methods, brings new key accounts and provides an expert view of the retail landscape.”
Cryptozoic co-founder and co-CEO John Sepenuk says, “We are very excited to partner with PSI. Their strength and experience as a sales force, fulfillment operation and marketing organization will help grow our business and deliver Cryptozoic products to more of our fans.”
