Revell signs license with Chip Foose

May 27, 2015 On May 26, Revell announced a three-year licensing agreement with custom car designer Chip Foose. Under terms of the deal, Revell will produce six new model car kits of Foose designs.
Two of the series will be exclusively Foose-designed cars with all-new tooling. The other four boxings will be “Foose-ified” reissues of earlier Revell kits with Foose styling and personal design modifications.
The new model kits will be “pre-decorated” with Foose-created paint schemes and wheel designs. Subjects will include a 2015 Chevrolet Corvette C7 and a Dodge Challenger SRT8.
Next month, fans will be able to vote on which two Foose cars will be kitted from a list of six vehicles: a 1934 Ford Mercury-inspired ”Stallion,” a 1935 “Grand Master” Chevy Master Sedan, a 1936 “Impression” Ford-based roadster, a 1965 “Impostor” Impala, a 1956 Ford F-100 pickup and a “Hemisfear” custom supercar coupe.
Foose says, “I grew up making models, and it put me on the path to being a car designer. Partnering with Revell lets me share the pleasure of both model building and custom-car design with others, including people who have seen my work at car shows or on TV programs like ‘Overhaulin'.’”
Revell vice president and general manager Lou Aguilera says, “Chip Foose is an icon in the custom car world and admired by every car enthusiast, including our customers.”
