Indyme introduces new Smart Sense system
Published:
July 6, 2015 Indyme, a provider of real-time shopper engagement and loss-prevention technologies, introduced its Smart Sense Dwell system June 25 at the National Retail Federation Loss Prevention Conference in Long Beach, Calif.
The Smart Sense suite can include sensor modules or video cameras that detect the presence of shoppers and send information to store staff via Wi-Fi or radio.
Once mounted at a key merchandise location, the Smart Sense Dwell module detects the presence of one or more persons in the defined area and triggers a discreet notification to store staff. In addition to staff notification, the module emits a chime that can deter theft.
Indyme touts its system as a way to enhance store staff’s awareness of customers’ needs, increasing staff productivity while assisting in loss prevention. |
